At Tender Loving Care For God’s Children, our volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do. This month, we’re proud to spotlight Sarah Thompson, a volunteer from Georgia who spent two weeks in Haiti serving children in Les Cayes.
With a background in early childhood education, Sarah led daily learning activities, helped distribute meals, and offered emotional support to children who have experienced loss and hardship. Her warm smile and open heart brought comfort and joy to every child she met.
“I didn’t come to change the world—I came to love these kids the way God loves us,” Sarah shared. “But somehow, they ended up changing me.”
Sarah’s story is a reminder that you don’t need to be perfect to make a difference—you just need to show up with love and faith.
